Welcome To My Awesome Beer Blog

Hello all,
My name is Andrew Stuart and I'm the "beer guy" here at Wally's, which is obvious by both my rotund appearance and penchant for chicken wings. I come from a long line of beer professionals and by that I mean they worked in the business, not just sit around drinking beer all day. They waited for Saturday to do that.
If you love beer, I think you'll love this blog. We'll be discussing styles, methods, hot new products, and current events in the beer industry.
So be sure to check in and see what's going on, and if you happen to be in the area, make sure to stop in and pick up the latest batch of Stone's Russian Imperial Stout. This years batch is pitch oily black, loaded with coffee, chocolate and toffee notes, and weighs in at a hefty 10.8 % ABV.
Cheers!
-Andrew Stuart

Hi Andrew - what foods would you pair with that Imperial Stout?
Posted by Randy G on 05/05 at 01:36 PMHi Randy,
The Russina Imperial is so heavy that it can stand alone as a dessert or accompany rich chocolate cake, dark berry fruits or even ice cream. (Some people have been known to drizzle heavy stouts over vanilla ice cream).
If you want to pair it with a meal, I would recommend trying it out with duck, dairy-heavy salads or maybe even a steak if you’re a psychopath.
Hope that helps!
